How to Register Foreign Phone with BTRC (NEIR)

If you brought an unregistered smartphone from abroad, you must register it on the National Equipment Identity Register (NEIR) portal within 30 days to avoid network disconnection.

  1. Visit the official BTRC portal: neir.btrc.gov.bd and create an account using your NID.
  2. Dial *#06# on your phone to retrieve your 15-digit IMEI numbers.
  3. Submit copies of your Passport Arrival Stamp, Air Ticket / Boarding Pass, and the Purchase Invoice.
  4. If it is your 1st or 2nd phone, approval is automatic and 100% free of charge. If it is your 3rd phone, upload the Customs Duty Payment Slip issued at the airport.
